A vibrating collar works well with my non-hunting clients and their companion dogs too. Their dream is to have off-leash control of their dog. One of the biggest complaints I hear is that their dog won’t come when called. Many of these people dislike or are nervous about using an e-collar. Even with my single level vibrating collar, I can usually have them successfully and confidently controlling their dog in a short time. With the adjustability you have included in your collar, it will be even faster and easier for the dog to understand what I want. Less repetition needed equals a happier dog.

I have some clients that are very popular at the dog park. When working with their dogs, I chained the vibration of the collar to the here command. Now when all the dogs are across the park playing, the owner touches the vibration button and her dog comes running. No verbal command needed. I tell the owners to think of it like the pagers used at restaurants to let you know when your table is ready. They like that analogy.

Dear Dave,

Here is my testimonial:
The GT 3 trained our Turkish shepherd dog, which the experts and books say is impossible.

5 months ago we got a new guard dog annex furry friend of the family. It’s a Turkish shepherd dog, Karabash or Kangal. It’s a race which is 3000 years old. The Turks use them to guard their sheep and lead them into the mountains. They will protect sheep against wolves. The breed is as big as a small horse and known to be very independent, clever but very friendly with a high self esteem. Because it was bred to guard sheep in rough and dangerous areas it will always look far ahead into the horizon. This to scan if there is danger. If the dog is curious it will go and check at a fast run. After that they come back to the flock of sheep.

Not the sort of dog you want as a beginning dog owner. We have had big dogs before and trained them. Now we have Hazar, who was brought back to the kennel at 7 months old. He is great, lovely and does things his own way. In our yard not a problem, after an intensive training he was obedient. But in the park, the fields and woods he’s gone. Just checking if nothing is out there to hurt you or your family. He always comes back, but…. a dog half the size of a horse who finds another doggy wants to play. Also if it’s some old lady’s little chihuahua. Old ladies don’t appreciate that, not even in Holland. The experts say this behaviour of checking the horizon is not to be prevented if you let a Karabash off the leash.

That’s where the GT 3 comes in. After 2 times calling “come here” I pushed the button with first vibration followed by shock. Hazar was indeed shocked. Came back at once. After this one and only experience of a shock, vibration was enough to let Hazar be obedient. At the moment we only need the collar and by exception a little vibration in a low strength. If he’s with me he usually listens without collar. With others, and Hazar is not wearing the CT 3 collar he knows he can run whenever he feels free to, and he will. I hope one day it will be imprinted in his behaviour so that he can walk collar-free. But for now this dog is fully under control with this collar even without having to shock him.

The G-3 works just GREAT!!!
It arrived last Thursday, took 12hrs and 20mins to charge.
I used it according to your directions- tested it on me that evening and it definitely got my attention!

Wednesday Danny and I had gone to a private lesson by a guy (in a wheelchair) who trains Service dogs. Brian put his collar [a competitive brand] on Danny. The dog reacted very well. We had a very positive, psychologically intense session and ended on a good note! Danny was tired. :)

Friday, Danny and I got to use the G-3 at home. I was just great. Easy to use, very effective. It only took a few of the light blue button depressions to associate 'come here' to the vibration.

Saturday, we went back to Brian's for another lesson. This time Brian's very mannered dogs were out with him. I had the G-3 collar on on Danny. It was a little rocky at first (in a busy neighborhood with lots of diversions) but by the end of one hour, Danny was sticking close to me, was not acting aggressive toward Brian's dogs, was dragging his leash and coming back to me when I called. Danny actually laid down by me on the grass.

There is a recalcitrant reaction in the dog at times but he has improved so much in less than a month, I can't believe it. We are taking it one day at a time.

Note of thanks. I was skeptical of using any training collar on Pooky my German Wirehair Pointer because he's so sensitive . (Yes, I said a sensitive GWP) He responded so well to your GT-3 collar we tried it on Alley our female GWP who is very independent, intelligent, obstinate, willful, a bit of a diva and of course a lovable Goofball that loves to play games on us. Alley had been trained on a e-collar with tone not vibration. With in 10 minutes she knew vibration replaced tone and her response time shorted considerable using vibration. Kind of like being tapped on the shoulder instead of saying," hey you." It was so nice to be able to add another collar for Alley to our existing GT-3. If I were to say the GT-3 was magic, that might not be praise enough. Our Golden Retriever is "deer crazy". Today, our first day with the GT-3 "live," we made huge strides in breaking that habit. Our usual walk consists of Joy walking with us and obeying commands until she scents a deer and then she's off like a bullet until she decides to triumphantly return. Today, when she'd take off, we'd give her a vibration followed by an "e-correction" and she returned every time. It took very little time for her to be much more engaged and attentive.
